Whether it is an underperforming petrol station, a new build development site or a drive-thru Starbucks, if it is part of the Euro Garages roadside retail estate, we want it to be a credit to us and to the surrounding area. Great care is taken to ensure that our roadside retail offerings meet the highest environmental and build standards, providing quality and convenience at every step. And with over 170 acquisitions in the last twelve months, this has never been more apparent.
Our Calder Park site opened its doors following an extensive development scheme and a financial investment of £2.5million.
It is a new-to-industry development and is located next to Calder Nature Reserve and at the entrance of Calder Business Park, Wakefield. The site is situated just off Junction 39, of the M1 motorway.
Wakefield City Centre is 4 miles away and the site’s location is close to the intersection of the M1/M62 motorways giving easy access to both local and national road networks. Calder Park meets the highest environmental design and build standards.
The site development accounted for adjoining Calder Park Nature Reserve (100 acres) with RSPB and English Nature consulted to ensure external décor, signage, build materials, drainage and litter bins were considerate of the space.
FIVE BARRED GATE
Located on the A59, this previously run-down site was redeveloped within a tight twelve week timeframe and transformed into a trademark Euro Garages forecourt.
With its links to major motorway networks, Five Barred Gate also offers excellent HGV facilities and the new Subway and Starbucks-on-the-go facilities.
Heading this exciting economic regeneration project, Head of Construction, Nasir Yusuf said, “We are renowned throughout the country for our trademark innovative forecourt designs. We wanted to raise the bar with the Five Barred Gate development.
Given the short development time frame we have delivered and incorporated many additional extras which not only provide an excellent aesthetic feel, but allow customers to experience access an exceptional range of facilities.
This former brownfield site is not only located next to our Head Office, but benefits from being on a busy trading park on Haslingden Road on the outskirts of Blackburn, Lancashire.
The site was developed back in February 2010 and required a substantial investment of over £3million. It was awarded Forecourt Trader Awards in 2011 and 2014.
Beehive offers excellent food-to-go choice and flexibility to visitors. Recent introduction of a Greggs concession complements the existing Starbucks Drive Thru, Subway and SPAR.
The site is continually busy and serves as a flagship store in the estate. Pharmacy continues to trade well due to its convenient proximity to the hospital.
